Few kilometers away from Marrakech is the land of the Berbers. The Berbers of the Atlas Mountains live mostly from traditional farming and craft. They live in small communities and settlements deep in the mountains, along valleys and rivers or along the slopes.
“A Day with Berbers” is a journey away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We drive you to one of the villages and there we settle in with the locals: harvesting crops, plowing the land, grounding cereals, herding sheep and goats, or making pottery are just some of the activities you will see on this day.
While we spend a good amount of time in nature, part of the experience is in a traditional house where we will witness ladies cooking sumptuous food from organic vegetables and baking delicious bread. Weaving is also a big part of their day and you may revel in watching them handle a loom ever so easily. A stroll around the village is on the itinerary which is a great chance to meet other locals. The base of this day is a Berber house. It is the center of our activities. From here we start and here we finish. Tea is offered and lunch is cooked as well in this Eco-house. Enjoy the day!
